Arducam Mira220 RGB-IR outputs separate IR and mono images instead of color

Hi, I’ve got a couple of questions I’m hoping someone can help with.

First, for the OwlSight Camera (B0483): is there a CAD model available? I already have the enclosure dimensions, but I need the dimensions of the imager, focuser, and lens to work with.

Second, on my Mirra220 RGB-IR (EK035) kit, the image doesn’t match what the documentation shows. When I set Format to RGB_IR, I get two images side by side — the left one is IR and the right one is monochrome visible spectrum — but the docs show a single color image.

I’m using the Arducam USB Camera Shield Windows UI v1.0.8 on the 2.2MP Mira220 RGB-IR global shutter USB3.0 evaluation kit.

Thanks for the details.

For the OwlSight (B0483), we only have a 2D dimension file available at the moment — no CAD model. You can find the dimensions in the product brief here: https://www.arducam.com/downloads/datasheet/Arducam_64mp_ov64a40_product_brief.pdf

For the Mirra220 RGB-IR, I’ve attached a config file and sent it over in a private message — please check your messages and give it a try. Also worth reviewing the product page and the application note:

On the Mirra220 RGB_IR display issue — that side-by-side IR + monochrome visible image is actually the wrong color channel being displayed in the GUI, not a hardware problem. In the USB Camera Shield UI, click the color channel icon to switch to a different channel. Keep cycling through the channels until you get the correct RGB/color output. I’ve sent a screenshot showing exactly which button to click.

I went through all the color channel options and no luck. The button only worked sporadically — I found that Pause → Close → Change format → Open → Play (repeated) would sometimes let me actually change it. Also I noticed my device number shows as -0006 while yours shows as -0007. Here’s the button I’ve been clicking:

Just wanted to update — I got it sorted. I realized the GUI on my machine looked different from the one in your screenshot, so I downloaded the updated version of the USB Camera Shield UI and now it’s working. I was on v1.0.8 which was the older version. Might be worth sending out the most up-to-date UI in future. Updated GUI:

Glad it’s resolved. That confirms it — the root cause was the outdated USB Camera Shield UI version. The older GUI didn’t match what we were seeing and produced that incorrect two-image IR + monochrome display in RGB_IR mode. For anyone else hitting this: download and use the latest GUI version from the releases page, and keep an eye on it since a new tag will be added there soon:
