Hi everyone, I’m stuck with an Arducam Mini 2MP (OV2640) SPI camera on an ESP32 Dev Module. I’ve been following the ArduCAM_Mini_2MP_OV2640_functions example from the Arduino repo (Arduino/ArduCAM/examples/mini/ArduCAM_Mini_2MP_OV2640_functions at master · ArduCAM/Arduino · GitHub) and it used to work fine. Now the capture done flag never gets set at all - the sketch just sits there waiting for it. I’ve searched around for some way to factory reset the module but couldn’t find anything. Is there a factory reset procedure for this camera?
Sorry, there is no factory reset procedure for the camera module itself. The Arducam Mini doesn’t have any kind of reset-to-default you can trigger on the camera side.
Thanks for the quick reply, though that’s a bit concerning. If there’s no factory reset, is there anything I can clear manually instead? I’m starting to wonder whether the registers got corrupted or the initialization data wasn’t uploaded to the camera correctly. Can you send me the register addresses that I could clear before doing another initialization?
On the Arducam Mini, the only reset available is for the CPLD. I’ve sent you the reset procedure picture through private message - please check your inbox. Follow that to reset the CPLD, then run the initialization again and see if the capture done flag gets set this time.
