Arducam issue - screenshot attached for reference

Hi everyone, I’m trying to get my IMX477 camera working on a Jetson by following the Quick Start Guide, but I keep running into an error during the setup. Here’s the screenshot of what I’m seeing:

Not really sure what I’m doing wrong here. Anyone else hit this?

Thanks for the screenshot. Looking at that, the issue is that the Arducam camera driver for the IMX477 hasn’t been released for L4T 35.2.1. Which JetPack/L4T version are you running? If it’s 35.2.1, that version isn’t in the supported list for the Arducam Jetson camera driver. You’d need to reflash to one of the versions listed as supported in the docs:

https://docs.arducam.com/Nvidia-Jetson-Camera/Introduction-to-Arducam-Jetson-Cameras/

Give that a try and let us know how it goes.

Just to add to that, if you’re already on a listed version and still seeing the error, share the exact JetPack/L4T version and we can dig deeper.

Thanks for the reply. I checked the page you linked and I’m a bit confused now, because L4T 35.2.1 actually shows a checkmark on the Arducam Jetson camera introduction page. So is 35.2.1 actually supported or not?

For reference, I’m on an NVIDIA Jetson, L4T 35.2.1, with the IMX477. Here’s what the docs page shows:

And my original error again for context:

Good catch, thanks for pointing out the discrepancy on the docs page. Since the version list doesn’t fully explain what you’re seeing, we should check your actual hardware setup. Could you post a couple of photos of your Jetson Orin NX module, one of the front and one of the back? That’ll help us verify the carrier board and how the camera is connected.

Sure thing, here are photos of the module, front and back:

Thanks for the photos. Based on what I can see, you’re using a third-party carrier board from Seeed Studio rather than the official NVIDIA carrier board. That’s the root of the problem here. The Arducam camera driver is built against the official NVIDIA carrier board, so it can’t be installed on a third-party board like this one. To get the Arducam driver installed, you’d need to run it on the official NVIDIA carrier board.
