Hi everyone, I’m trying to install the Arducam camera driver on my Jetson Orin NX Developer Kit. Running ./install_full.sh -m arducam keeps failing with: Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to [email protected]. Any idea what’s going on here?
Welcome! That error usually means the install script couldn’t match a driver package for your board/kernel combo. Can you share a few things: 1) your kernel version (uname -r), 2) the exact Jetson model string the board reports, and 3) the full output of the script when you run it? That’ll help narrow it down.
Kernel is 5.10.192-tegra-35.5.0-20240613202628 and the board reports as NVIDIA Orin NX Developer Kit. I re-ran ./install_full.sh -m arducam. Right at the start I get this warning: ./install_full.sh: line 19: warning: command substitution: ignored null byte in input. Then it detects the platform as NVIDIA Orin NX Developer Kit.
Thanks. That null byte warning at line 19 is a bit suspicious, but let’s first check whether it actually breaks anything. The next thing the script does is fetch arducam_links.txt from GitHub. Can you paste the download portion of the output (the wget lines)? I want to see whether that file comes down intact.
Here’s the download part:

The links file downloaded fine — 18423 bytes, 200 OK, so the network/redirect isn’t the problem. Which camera module is this exactly? And does the script print the Cannot find the corresponding deb package error right after the download finishes?
It’s the 8MP IMX219 Stock Lens Fixed Focus version. And yes, right after arducam_links.txt saves, it prints:
Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to [email protected]
Kernel version: 5.10.192-tegra-35.5.0-20240613202628
Jetson type: NVIDIA Orin NX Developer Kit
Got it. Based on everything you’ve posted, the root cause is that there’s no matching .deb camera driver package for your running kernel (5.10.192-tegra-35.5.0-20240613202628) on the NVIDIA Orin NX Developer Kit. The install_full.sh script picks the deb by matching kernel version + Jetson type, and when no matching package exists in the links file, it throws that Cannot find the corresponding deb package error. Arducam has a troubleshooting section for exactly this — check section '9. Problem: Camera Driver Installation Failure on Jetson Devices' here: https://docs.arducam.com/Nvidia-Jetson-Camera/Native-Camera/Toubleshoot/#9-problem-camera-driver-installation-failure-on-jetson-devices
Thanks, I’m going through that doc now. If it still doesn’t resolve, do I need to send anything to support?
Yes — if the guide doesn’t get you unblocked, email [email protected] with your kernel version (5.10.192-tegra-35.5.0-20240613202628) and Jetson type (NVIDIA Orin NX Developer Kit). That gives them what they need to check whether a matching driver package exists or can be added. To summarize the current conclusion: arducam_links.txt downloads fine, but there’s currently no matching deb package for that kernel/board combination, so the install script fails at the package-matching step.
