  1. Troubleshooting attempts you’ve made?
    Clean install of Bullseye and re-install all packages from scratch following guides and forum.

  2. What help do you need?
    I am unable to focus the camera. I have tried using the --autofocus option, the manual FocuserExample.py script, and directly changing focus_absolute with v4l2-ctl but the focus does not change. If I use the --autofocus option and then check with the FocuserExample.py script, the number has changed and I can verify this by checking with v4l2-ctl too but the image itself looks identical with no change focus. Otherwise I’m able to use the libcamera apps without issue.

There is an autofocus problem with the Pi zero . Do you have another Pi3 /Pi 4 available? If so, you can test the autofocus function.

First, upgrade your libcamera version to 0.0.10. Please run the commands below:

And please use the command libcamera-still -t 0 --afmode auto --autofocus to do auto-focus.

Also use the command libcamera-still -t 0 --afmode manual --manualfocus 500 to do manual focus.

I have used all of those commands to update the libraries as well as to take images, but the autofocus doesn’t work, the images remain blurry. If it means anything, I have a 64 MP camera as well and with that one I can hear audible clicks when the focus is changed but I don’t hear anything when using the 16 MP camera.
