Hi all, I’m having trouble getting the Arducam IMX519 Autofocus Camera Module (Noir) working on a Raspberry Pi 3B+. libcamera never detects it. Running libcamera-hello gives me:
ERROR: *** no cameras available ***
Picamera2 also fails to initialize the camera. I’ve already checked and reseated the ribbon cable connections, done a fresh install of Raspberry Pi OS bullseye, and made sure all dependencies are up to date. Still nothing shows up. Any ideas?
Thanks for the details. That error means the camera isn’t being detected at all, so let’s pull some diagnostic info. Could you reboot the Pi, then run these commands to generate a bug report:
That will create an arducam-bug-report.txt file in the current directory. Please send that file to me through a private message so I can check the diagnostic data.
Sorry for the wait. I found it in your report - the imx519 overlay is not enabled in your Raspberry Pi config file, so the driver never gets loaded and libcamera can’t see the camera. You need to enable imx519 in the config file following the software section of the Quick Start Guide for the IMX519 Autofocus Camera:
