Arducam IMX519 16 MP is not detecting in Rasberry PI 5 Bookworm Kernal 6.6.1

I have attempted multiple times to connect the IMX519 16 MP camera module to the Raspberry Pi, but it is not being detected. Specifically, when checking the I2C interface (I2C-1), no detected device appears.
Can anyone please help solve this issue?

same for me, it is infuriating :sob:
@Dion any idea why on RPI based on Debian 22 and 23 x64 with Desktop Arducam IMX519 16MP does not work. I saw the 64MP Raspi 5 not finding Hawkeye 64MP - #31 by pappice article but I presume we cannot follow it blindly as it is not identical set up …

For anyone else who faces the same problems at the end the the bellow settings

# Uncomment some or all of these to enable the optional hardware interfaces
dtparam=i2c_arm=on

# Automatically load overlays for detected cameras
# camera_auto_detect=1
camera_auto_detect=0

[all]
# dtoverlay=arducam-16mp
dtoverlay=imx519
camera_auto_detect=0

together with the patched libcam drivers using the patch

wget -O install_pivariety_pkgs.sh https://github.com/ArduCAM/Arducam-Pivariety-V4L2-Driver/releases/download/install_script/install_pivariety_pkgs.sh
 chmod +x install_pivariety_pkgs.sh
./install_pivariety_pkgs.sh -p libcamera_dev
./install_pivariety_pkgs.sh -p libcamera_apps

unfortunately I could not get it to work with the official drivers.
