HDMI board works with official HQ camera but not the Arducam IR cut imx477
6.What problems are you experiencing?
I’m trying to use the Arducam HDMI extension board (https://www.arducam.com/product/arducam-csi-hdmi-cable-extension-module-15pin-60mm-fpc-cable-raspberry-pi-camera-specific-pack-2-1-set/ )
With the Arducam IR cut imx477, is it possible to use with this camera?
ok correction I have now got it recognised using different cables, but it seems this IR cut imx477 does not like being connected directly using those smaller unofficial ribbon cables to the pi 5, Arducam have not released a pi 5 version of this yet.
But I will continue to test this cam and the HDMI extension
Also for some reason you flipped the ribbon cable around on the IR cut imx477 so it’s different from all the other modules I have which is really confusing
Hi,
If you want to connect the Arducam IMX477 IR-Cut version directly to a Pi 5 board, you need to use a 22-22 pin white cable.
I think there should be a 22-22 pin cable coming with the camera. Can you help us confirm this?
Besides, if you want to get the IMX477 IR-Cut to work with B0091, you need two 22-15 pin yellow cables.
I have the correct cables to connect it to the hdmi board ok.
But if I try connecting directly to the pi 5 with an unofficial 22-22 pin white cable it doesn’t work and fails to boot, I think I got it working before with one of those cables but will need to check different cables again. I think Arducam needs to release supported cables for pi5 for these camera types as I don’t think the generic ones all work with it.
But if I connect via the hdmi I’m not sure if this sensor does completely work with the hdmi extension cable board either, as so far i get small artifacts acorss the image, the extent of which depends on the hdmi cable being used. But the official HQ imx477 works fine without the artifacts on the hdmi board.
