Arducam B0388 quad cameras not detected on Raspberry Pi 4

Hi everyone. I have an Arducam B0388 quad camera kit connected to a Raspberry Pi 4. I followed the quad camera setup instructions on the Arducam website, but the cameras are never detected. The program always comes back saying there are no cameras. I’ve looked through the whole Arducam website and even asked some teachers at school, but nothing has fixed it so far.

Hi, this is Dion from Arducam support. Sorry to hear the cameras aren’t showing up. To help diagnose this, can you run the arducam-camera-bug-report diagnostic script and attach the resulting arducam-bug-report.txt file? It would also help if you could send a few pictures of how the hardware is connected.

I can try, but I’m not very experienced with terminal commands. Do I just run that script on the Pi? Can you give me the exact steps?

Sure. First reboot the device, then run these commands on the Raspberry Pi:

wget -O arducam-camera-bug-report https://github.com/ketai-dhr/arducam-camera-bug-report/releases/download/tools/arducam-camera-bug-report
chmod +x ./arducam-camera-bug-report
./arducam-camera-bug-report

The script will output an arducam-bug-report.txt file in the current directory. Please attach that file here and also send pictures of the hardware connection.

Okay, got it. I’ll reboot and run those three commands, then upload the txt file. I’ll also take photos of the ribbon cables and camera connections. It might take me a little while.

No rush. Just to explain what I’m after: the arducam-camera-bug-report script generates arducam-bug-report.txt, which contains diagnostic information we use to troubleshoot camera detection issues on the Raspberry Pi. The root cause of the cameras not being detected is still undetermined, so once you send that file and the hardware photos I can continue the investigation.
