Arducam AR0234 Global Shutter MIPI camera video green and inverted on Jetson Nano

Hi all, I just got the Arducam AR0234 Global Shutter MIPI camera for my Jetson Nano. I installed the Arducam camera driver and ran the demo script arducam_displayer.py. The video is showing up but it has a green tinge and the picture is inverted. I found a post on the Arducam forum (AR0234 mipi camera for jetson nano) that mentions the captured frames need post-processing to look normal. Does anyone have documents or guides on the post-processing, and maybe some OpenCV examples?

Thanks for the report. Just to confirm the setup — Jetson Nano with the Arducam driver installed, running arducam_displayer.py from the demo code, correct? If you can attach a screenshot or two showing the green tinge, that will help me see exactly what you’re getting.

Correct, it’s a Jetson Nano with the Arducam camera driver installed. I’m running arducam_displayer.py from the Arducam demo code. The preview window has a green cast and it’s upside down. I’ve attached a couple of screenshots of the output.

Thanks, from the screenshots I can see the image tends to be green. Have you tried any post-processing on the frames yet, or is this the raw output straight from the demo script?

I haven’t done any post-processing yet — that’s what I’m trying to figure out. The forum post I found says post-processing is required for the captured frames to look normal, but it doesn’t show the actual steps. Do you have any documents or guides on the post-processing, or OpenCV examples for this camera?

I understand. For the green tinge: Nvidia does not open the ISP (Image Signal Processor) function to Arducam, so the image tends to come out green. Because of that, the demo output does require post-processing to correct both the green tinge and the inverted image. Unfortunately, we don’t have additional OpenCV examples for this — Arducam doesn’t write those examples, so I’m not able to provide further support on this part. The key point is that the green image comes from Nvidia not exposing the ISP to Arducam, which limits what post-processing we can support.
