Hi everyone, I’m trying to get an Arducam AR0230 camera working on a Jetson Orin Nano, but it doesn’t show up at all. Before I go too deep, is the AR0230 actually supported on the Orin Nano? If it is, any idea why it wouldn’t be detected? I’ve got it connected but the system isn’t seeing it.
Hi, yes - the AR0230 is supported on the Jetson Orin Nano, but it does require the Arducam Jetvariety camera driver to be installed, otherwise it won’t be detected. Please go through the ‘Install Driver’ section of the Jetvariety Camera Quick Start Guide: Quick Start Guide - Arducam Wiki. Run the driver install script from there and let us know if the camera shows up afterwards.
Thanks, I installed the driver using the script from that guide. The install seemed to finish without errors. But now I have two AR0230 cameras connected to the CSI port, and only one of them is being detected. Also when I run the arducam_displayer script, the image output is just solid green. Here are screenshots of what I’m seeing:

Not sure if this is a config issue or something with the pipeline.
Thanks for the screenshots. Only one of two cameras showing up, plus an all-green frame from arducam_displayer, suggests we should look at the camera enumeration, the CSI port configuration, or the image pipeline/format. Could you post pictures of your Jetson device, front and back, showing exactly how the two cameras are attached to the CSI connectors? That will help us verify the physical connections and which ports are actually in use.
Quick update - the detection and display issues I was having earlier are resolved now. Everything is working properly. Thanks for the help!
Glad to hear it’s sorted! To recap for anyone else hitting the same thing: the first step is making sure the Jetvariety driver is installed for the AR0230 on the Orin Nano. If you still end up with only one camera detected or a green image, double-check the CSI connections and configuration. Thanks for confirming it’s working!
