Hello,
I am customizing a driver for the Arducam 64MP (B0399 Hawkeye) on a Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit. The driver probe completes successfully, but during sensor initialization I encounter I2C no-ACK errors.
It appears that the sensor chip ID is not being read correctly, which is likely causing the initialization failure.
Issues / Questions
- Unknown sensor model
- The exact sensor (e.g., IMXxxx) used in this module is not clearly documented.
- Without this information, it is difficult to verify the correct chip ID registers or driver compatibility.
- Chip ID read failure
- Since this may be a proprietary module, standard register read methods are not returning valid data.
- I am unsure how to properly read the chip ID for this sensor.
- Debugging I2C no-ACK
- What is the recommended way to:
- Read the chip ID (via
i2cget,i2cdump, or driver-level access)? - Debug and resolve I2C no-ACK issues on Jetson?
- Read the chip ID (via
- Could this be related to:
- Incorrect I2C address
- Power/reset sequence
- Device tree misconfiguration
Terminal Output
DT device 9-001a exists
Mux GPIO (PCC.03) = channel 1
MCLK enable count = 8
Driver bound
Sensor ACK at 0x1a DEAD
Goal
To successfully read the sensor chip ID and resolve the I2C communication issue so the driver can properly initialize the camera.
